How long does heart disease take to kill someone?
Posted on 14. Apr, 2010 by Lower LDL Cholesterol in Heart Disease
So my friend told me the other day that he was going to die in a month of heart disease and I didnt believe him. He is very active and has no problems with anything as far as I am concerned. He is also only in his teens still and therefore I am led to believe that he is lying, but I would like to know how long it takes for heart disease to kill someone after they get the pain in their chest.

“Heart Disease” is an extremely vague term. It actually means any disorder that effects the heart. It could mean harmless palpitations to valve problems or congenital defects. Unfortunately, the information he’s given you is too vague to answer the question with any degree of accuracy.

Well in ordering for him to have heart disease……he has to have some form of blockages. With that, it is easily taken care of….if he does, he would have already had the surgery. The disease can be controlled by taking meds, eating a healthy diet, exercise, and staying away from cigs. My grandpa had his first heart attack at 42, and passed away when he was 80….38 years, with heart disease. Some people aren’t so lucky. But, if he were going to die in a month….trust me he wouldn’t be at school, he would be in the hospital very sick.

It can even kill you within 1 day or take 5 years to kill.
It just depends on the type of heart disease you have.
